FROM THE WELL will perform for the Fine Arts at First Artist Series at First Lutheran Church, 21 South Bedford Street, Carlisle on Sunday, March 21 at 3 P.M. Featuring vocals and music performed on twin hammer dulcimers, violin, viola, cello, assorted Irish whistles, guitar, and frame drums, the ensemble will celebrate Celtic song and its contribution to American folk music. Two of the group’s musicians are former members of the very well-received Celtic ensemble, Gladly Playe Wyth Stryngs, that performed at First Lutheran in 2005. There is no admission fee. St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 839 W. Market St., York presents a Bach Birthday Bash featuring organists Shirley King, Jonathan Noel, and Victor Fields. The all-Bach program will be the final public concert on the church's 1933/66 Moller organ before it is removed to make way for a new instrument by SDG Organs, Inc. of Millersville. A Bach 325th birthday cake will be featured at the reception. Donations at the door will benefit the church's Assistance Ministry helping the needy in the community. (717) 845-2721
